STEPHEN MOUSHEGIAN

Stephen Moushegian served his country with distinction by flying small, observation helicopters for the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment in Vietnam in 1969. His job: search for the enemy while flying close to the ground. Once found, he remained exposed at tree-top level directing ground troops to the enemy positions. For his numerous, selfless acts, he was awarded the Silver Star and 4 Distinguished Flying Crosses for valor until he flew into an ambush and was medically discharged from the Army. Reported by his brother, Richard Moushegian, LTC, QMC, Army (retired), Vietnam 1968-69 of Peachtree Corners.
